Lucca,

I can’t believe it’s been this long since I last wrote you a note. Needless to say, you’ve been keeping me and Mom very BUSY! Life has been a blur since you’ve come around, but we wouldn’t have it any other way. We are having so much fun watching you grow up. Daddy’s exhausted but loves every minute he has with you. That goes without saying for Mom who spoils you rotten!

Carter had soccer practice tonight so you stayed home with Dad. We have so much fun when it’s the two of us. Tonight, you put on my motorcycle helmet and gloves, but not long enough to get a picture! Your attention span is like Dad’s … nonexistent. But you’re SO smart and love learning about everything.

You love to PLAY and demand we all PLAY with you constantly. Trouble is we have a tough time keeping up with you! You run from one toy to the next and play with all of your toys every day! You are such a little boy! Seems like yesterday you were just a baby! Well … you are still a baby I suppose, especially since Momma keeps you addicted to those “ba-ba’s” - but that’s okay. It’s so cute.

The weather is warming up so you love playing outside when you come home from school. Carter will kick the ball or play basketball and you’ll occasionally scream for the ball but are really just as happy playing with sticks and mud. Such a boy!

We watched some dance movie tonight and you showed me your spin moves again. You’re always so proud and we are so proud of you! You run hard all day, but are always a good sleeper and go right to bed after reading a book with Mom or Dad (usually Mom, but tonight Dad put you to bed).

It was beautiful today so after you went to sleep, I sat out on the deck and read a book about a boy and his father. Your Dad has gotten awfully emotional since you’ve been around, but I wanted you to see this while it was on my mind.

P.S. You are completely obsessed with Nemo and dinosaurs right now (and little dinosaurs come everywhere with us).

Love you son,

Dad
